Shaker card fun!

I've had a bit of time away from my craft table over Christmas/New Year and School/Summer holiday...

But last week I had to get back to it as our first (virtual) team meeting for the year approached!

At each of our team meetings - which are actually called team Craft & Chats (because, that's what we do!) myself and one of my team members demonstrates a technique for everyone to try.

This month, we were showing simple Faux Shaker Cards.

It's not a new idea, but something not everyone has seen (or tried). We actually took the ideas and samples straight from fellow US demonstrator Patty Bennett.

It's a simple card using a clear envelope for the "shaker" part of the card.

Here is my sample (again, copied from Patty Bennett)

These are super simple, and so much fun!

It also got me inspired to use the new Brilliant Rainbow dies to make a more traditional shaker card, and a simplified version of a sample in the current Mini Catalogue.

This card also features the Sale-a-Bration Simply Marbleous DSP. It is also one of the cards you could have made yourself this month if you purchased my Cards to Go kit.

I did use some retired sequins (Woven Threads Sequin Assortment), as they just matched so nicely. However, you can use any sequins or shaker embellishments you have. Click on the photo above to find a list of products used.

Get shaking!
