Do you Copy & Share?

Have you heard of the term CASEd? This term has long been used by the Stampin' Up! community and stands for Copy And Share Everything.
More recently, I've also seen this term used as Copy And Selectively Edit.

What does that mean?
For us crafters, as not everyone feels creative all the time (or some of us may never feel that way), we look to find inspiration from other crafters and other sources!
We are so often inspired by samples in the catalogues, as well as what others make, that it's easy just to recreate a card, scrapbook page, or other project that we've seen elsewhere.
And, there is nothing wrong with that.
In fact, Stampin' Up! uses CASEd for exactly this purpose!
They encourage us to use the catalogue, online images and more to recreate projects.
As demonstrator, we even have access to a "Sample Recipes" sheet that lists all products used in the catalogue samples and Online Exclusives or other specials etc.

Here is a card I made, inspired by a sample in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue (page 40).
The sample in the catalogue is actually a Scalloped Gift Box. I edited this design ever so slightly to create a card instead.

What do you think? Personally, I'm happy with how it turned out!

Simple Birthday Card

Stampin' Up! recently had a release of more Online Exclusive products.

These are products that are in addition to Catalogue release products, and come throughout the year.

With Christmas time heading our way faster than I'd like, I purchased the Greetings of the Season bundle as a starting point. This bundle includes dies that can be "tags" or "labels" or used as a sentiment layer on a card.

Since I wasn't quite ready to make Christmas cards yet, I used the dies and made a simple (but pretty) birthday card.

As you can see, I've used the biggest tag die as a "layer" with some of the Country Lace DSP (which is currently on Sale), and then used the Oval Tag shape for the sentiment. Did you notice that I've omitted the hole from the Oval tag?

I accomplished this by only running the die through halfway (from the "non hole" end), then turning it around and running it through the other half. You could do this for most of the other tags in the set too.

The sentiment if from the Friends for Life Stamp Set.

And finally, the small image stamped repeatedly in the background in from the Country Flowers stamp set and is easily missed due to it's size!

This card was part of my Cards to Go kit last month which can be purchased (if you're in Australia) to have all the supplies to make 4 cards at home in your own time. Full instructions are emailed after the kits go out. Interested? Contact me for more information.

Birthdays and Bonuses for Days!

I have been a little remiss in sending Birthday cards for a while now, and really need to make an effort to change that - especially since I am still making plenty of birthday cards!

Here is a fairly easy card showcasing some paper from the Full Of Life Designer Series Paper pack and the new So Swirly (new larger size) Embossing Folder.

The new "extra" or larger size embossing folder allows for larger projects to be embossed.

Speaking of "extra"....
Who doesn't love a Bonus?
Getting that something "extra", for something you do, is always nice!
Bonus Days are back starting tomorrow June 3!
What are Bonus Days? Below is a quick summary of what they are and how they work...

Make sure to check out the new Online Exclusives that dropped today and shop to earn your coupons!

2024-2026 In Colours Card

This month, my Cards to Go kit featured a few of the new Designer Series Papers.

One card in particular was a "Sampler" card with strips of the new 2024-2026 In Color papers.
It also showcases the new Basic Beige colour addition.
The 2024-2026 In Colors are: Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, Summer Splash, Petunia Pop, Shy Shamrock

It's an easy card to make, and any patterned paper could be used.
Why not give it a go? I'd love to see your alternate cards.

Purchasing my Cards to Go kit, whether it be a one off, or each month, is a great way to see and play with some new products with having to purchase them all yourself.
You receive all the supplies with full instructions to complete the cards, all you need is a "sentiment" (words) stamp and some ink.
Still not sure? Contact me for any other information you need.

New Catalogue time!

So much has happened over the past couple of months, but I haven't kept up with posting here, or on social media.
So, to briefly sum up; I went to Melbourne for Stampin'Up! OnStage, we've had a busy end of term and school holidays, I held a Mothers Day class and participated in my teams Big Crat Day (both held locally) and we've seen the launch of our brand new Annual Catalogue.

Stampin' Up! has also welcomed Close To My Heart "Makers" into our community, as CTMH has closed it's doors.
This has also see some exciting new products be available on the SU website for CTMH customers to purchase.
This has also opened the door for SU to further develop a range of scrapbooking products that will be made available in the future!

All this is very exciting and has got the creative juices flowing and fresh inspiration.

Here are some of the cards we made at our Big Craft Day, starting with my card design.

Each card was designed by a different team member. We all went around the room creating one of each others cards. We all brought some lunch for have through the day and tea/coffee was supplied.
